Gee, you wonder why he is so scared and uneasy. Horses are HERD animals. He grew up in a herd and spent his whole life in a herd. Now he has been isolated and he lost the emotional support and stability of the herd. No matter how well she treats him it pales in comparison to living free with other horses.
