  1. There was so little discipline in Vietnam. Allowing a gunner to carry belts of ammo wrapped around their body like that is incredibly stupid. It is a good way to damage links, get flora, dirt and grime in them leading to jamming the gun. As a 60 gunner with the 25th ID in the 90's I carried 700 rounds with me, the AG another 700 rounds.
