  1. One of my favorite F35 myths is the underpowered myth. If you take a empty F16 and a empty F35 and give them the exact same fuel load of 5,920 pounds which is the internal fuel load of a F16, the F35 has a higher thrust to weight ratio. 1.22 vs 1.12. Carrying identical weapon and fuel loads the F35 will outperform the F16 and the F18.

  2. +Romano What is amusing is that the only people who say the F-35 sucks are people WHO HAVE NEVER FLOWN ONE! F-35 pilots love it, is it perfect......no, but none of the pilot interviews I have seen or read have said they want to go back to the F-16, F-18, or AV8-B. Universally the pilots who ACTUALLY FLY THE AIRCRAFT say it is leaps and bounds better than the legacy aircraft in capability.
