  3.  @2ZZGE100  The ONLY Iraqi plane the Phantom would have trouble with is the MIG-25. Mig-21, 23 and Mirage F1 were easy targets for the Phantom.

  4.  @2ZZGE100  The Mig 23 is one of the worst fighters ever built, an F-4 would have little problems killing it. The Mig-21 would not turn circles around the Phantom. In Vietnam Mig-21's NEVER willingly engaged Phantoms , they used hit and run ambush tactics but when forced to fight the Mig-21 was a pretty easy kill for a good Phantom driver. Just look at how easily Israel delt with Mig-23's and Mig-21's with their Phantoms before they got F-15's and 16's. The Mirage F-1 was not a fighter, it was a ground attack aircraft, the Phantom would eat it alive.

  5.  @lensman5762  I am not arguing that the F-4 was on par with the F-14 it was not. All I am saying is the Iraqi's didn't have anything other than the MIG-25 that could give an F-4 problems in a dogfight.
