  2. While the HO-229 was NOT designed with Stealth in mind, the Horton brothers believed the flying wing was the most EFFICIENT form for an aircraft. That does not change the fact that the HO-229 had a much lower radar cross-section than most aircraft of the day because the flying wing has a much lower RCS than standard aircraft.
