  9. Also a little know fact, Native American tribes participated in the Transatlantic slave trade and bought slaves.   11.  @dizmop  How does Europe benefit from something that happened a few hundred years ago? Africa has benefited from the slave trade as well. When Europe began colonizing Africa, the Africans were between three and five thousand years behind in technology. Without European intervention in Africa the people there would still have no electricity, no running water, no cars. They would be living like they did in huts living simple hunter gatherer lifestyles.
