@connorm4145 First please take my comments as my opinion it is not a personal attack against you sir. Oswald was a Marine so he was quite well trained in marksmanship. The shots were a lot shorter than you think they were, between 63 and 88 yards. I am an Army Infantry veteran with a LOT of range time. With an M-16A2 it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to miss a target from 100 yards or less. The rifle range at Fort Benning was mechanical meaning the targets would pop up and move down a track so we shot against moving targets all the time. The shots Oswald made against Kennedy were a lot easier than most people realize. I am not saying there wasn't a conspiracy. All I am saying is Oswald could have made those shots as well as any veteran. Those shots were about as easy as you can get.

@grayman7208 I 100% agree. I think the difficulty of the shots is way overblown on purpose by the conspiracy theorists in an effort to lend strength to their argument. I see the exact same thing with the 9/11 conspiracy wackos.

@aneily Technically it was only two shots. The timer starts with the first trigger pull. So two shots in 5.6 seconds, quite likely.

It is not chambered for .308, they are using a new 6.8mm high velocity round that has more kinetic energy on target than a 7.62 Nato round.

What I can't figure out is how she thinks this is valid. An executive order is limited to the executive branch of the Government, meaning those orders only apply to members of the Government, not the citizenry.

@toade1583 It is not a slimmed down 7.62 NATO, it has a much higher muzzle velocity and delivers more kinetic energy to the target than a 7.62 NATO round.

@kirknay You would be correct. Steel has a melting point between 2500-2800 degrees. However, if you heat that steel to 1000 degrees it loses 50% of its tensile strength. If you heat it to 1500 degrees it loses 90% of its tensile strength.

@JohnDoe-pv2iu I live by the motto anything is possible but some things are highly improbable. Is it possible Kennedy was killed by a Government conspiracy...of course. However, I have yet to see ANY evidence that is provable it all relies on speculation and what if.

@BionicLemming If I had a bolt action rifle I would. While I am very 2A I have not fired or owned a gun since I got out of the Army in 1995.
2
@Ruska That is in fact a myth. When you look at the bullet from behind you can clearly see the bullet has flattened out quite a bit.
2
The 6.8x51 round has more kinetic energy on target than a 7.62x51 Nato round.

I saw a documentary on this topic where they used ballistic dummies. Dummies that had bones, simulated tissue, etc. They were able to replicate the "Magic Bullet" injuries perfectly. The problem with the whole magic bullet theory originally is that they had Governor Connally in the WRONG position. When they put the jump seat he was sitting on in the CORRECT position the trajectory lines up perfectly.

The exterior seems almost identical to the M-16, looks like you still do SPORTS for jams.

I thought a .308 was 7.62mm where the new combat rifle was 6.8mm?

I would be willing to repeal the 2nd amendment under the following condition. Since CRIMINALS do not obey the law and won't be turning in their guns make the possession of an illegal firearm a capital offense. A capitol offense with sentence to be carried out immediately. No trials, lawyers or worrying about housing them in jails. Simply kill the criminals on sight.

@rg-pq1kb The shot in the back was 63 yards. The shot to the head was 88.

She needs to be impeached for violating her oath of office.
