  1. I used to work in the Pest Management industry. There was an apartment complex I serviced and there was one apartment I would service once a month that had a Shiba Inu. For whatever reason that dog loved me, I would take a 15 minute break and play with him. His owner was a really old woman and she said he knew the day I was coming and would be excited and staring out the windows and hanging out by the door waiting for me to come in.

  2. I was in the Pest Management industry for more than a decade. I serviced an apartment complex once a month and this one lady had a Shiba Inu. For whatever reason the dog really took to me and she said he knew the day I would be there every month and would pace and look out the windows for me and would go ballistic when he first caught sight of me. I always scheduled my break times around servicing her apartment so I could stay and play with her dog.

  5.  @tonyhaynes9080  I had a 27 pound Main Coon and he wasn't fat. It was hilarious to watch peoples faces when they saw Teddy for the first time. Total shock.

  6. People who let their cats get that fat...SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED to own pets. If you refuse to look after their wellbeing you should not have pets!!!!!

  8.  @TheBaumcm  Yep that is true, there was an apartment that had this massive Labradoodle and he was considered a "Viscious" dog and no pest guys would service the apartment and the building engineers wouldn't go into that apartment because they were afraid of him. I got them to let me in and the dog was carrying on like he was going to attack but I stood my ground because I just wanted to get a feel for his energy. I felt he was not angry aggressive but he was fear aggressive so I was confident he would not attack. I slowly kept taking a step towards him and waiting. I successfully got him to retreat all the way down the hall and into the master bedroom where I could close the door and I could do my job safely. The building engineers thought I was crazy as heck for that but I believe if you are calm/assertive and patient you can learn a lot about a dog by just watching him.

  29. Actually the cat is so fat, she is unable to groom her entire body. You see this in long haired fat cats all the time, sometimes even in shorthairs.

  30. My question is how many calories in a day should a cat consume to maintain a healthy weight. Follow that up how you know how many calories are in their food. I have never seen calories listed on the label in pet food.

  34. It is not your size that dogs react to it is your disposition or energy. You are so comfortable, even around breeds with bad reputations and the dogs pick up on that energy and for the most part calms them.

  42. I wish I had your experience in trimming their claws. I am so scared of hitting the quick I clip just the tips which means I have to clip their claws every couple of days.
