  2. I always wonder if the Germans would have completed the assault at Dunkirk and captured the bulk of the British professional army on the beaches, could a peace treaty have been hammered out? Allowing the miracle at Dunkirk gave the British HOPE and kept them in the war.

  3. The biggest flaw with Imperialism is that the conquering power didn't immediately exterminate the local population and then open up the territory for immigration by its own citizens. A multicultural society is doomed to failure.
