I think all of these issues can go back to parenting and culture. When competition is seen as toxic and kids are getting participation trophy's, that is a problem. When putting pressure on your child to excel is considered bad parenting, that is a problem. When parents are more interested in being their child's friend than their parent, that is a problem. When parents coddle their children, infantilize them and try and protect them from the world for as long as they can, that is a problem. When parents use video games, computers and smartphones as a baby sitter, that is a problem. Children should be raised as if they are in boot camp. Given a structured home environment filled with discipline and expectations. Children need to be taught how to be sigma's, capable of critical thinking, self reliant, independent, no need of social validation through their peers or social media, given a strong sense of self and a strong MORAL code.
