  1. The main reason I believe the Church of the Holy Sepulcure is the actual site is looking at a map of Jerusalem in Jesus time. We know Pontius Pilot set up his Praetorium in Herod The Greats Palace. The Hasmonean Palace Where Herod Antipas lived was close by as well as the house of Caiphas were all in the same quarter of the city and close to one another. We know Jesus was taken to all of these places after he was arrested. Right next to the Praetorium where Jesus was judged and sentenced to be crucified is the Gennath Gate. Walking through the Gennath gate the crucifixion site would be a short walk and it was at an intersection for two major roads.

The location of the Sudarium has been documented from the 1st Century and it has resided in the Cathedral of Oviedo in Spain since the 8th Century. Both cloths also carry type AB blood stains, although some argue that ancient blood types are hard to interpret. What is clear is that the blood stains on both cloths match up, not when laid flat but when wrapped around a human head. The fact that the shroud of Turin and the Sudarium at one time were wrapped around the same body is proof that the carbon-14 date of the Shroud is incorrect.

  3. You have no evidence of that. Recent DNA evidence shows that blond hair blue eyed fair skinned people migrated to Israel from Iran and Northern Turkey 6,500 years ago. So those genes would be well established in the area during Jesus time. I am not saying that Yeshua was fair haired with blonde hair and blue eyes. However, it IS possible.

  4. He spoke Aramaic, that is known. The blond hair, blue eyed Jesus is actually a distinct possibility. Recent DNA evidence shows that fair skinned blond haired blue eyed people migrated to Ancient Israel 6,500 years ago from Northern Turkey and Iran. So those genes would be well established in Jesus time. So it is VERY possible that is exactly what he looked like.
