  5. Have you seen Platoon....hahahaha my unit WAS the 3/22 Inf, the unit portrayed in the movie. I was in Charlie Company.....in the movie the sapper who runs into the CP and blows it up, that was Charlie Companies CP in the movie.

  11. Funny cammo story. Using the same Compaq cammo I was just screwing around one day and I did my cammo in a PERFECT Ultimate Warrior face paint scheme. Everyone in my unit was laughing so hard, even my squad leader, for about 30 seconds before he told me to get that shit off my face and put it on right lol.

  14. I will say that the land nav course at East Range is reputed to be the most difficult in the US Army. Land Nav got me TWICE during my quest for the EIB. I got it on my third try.

  15. I like how the female soldier says I expected to be treated the same as the male soldiers......but she isn't. Standards for female soldiers are always LOWER than their male counterparts. It is sad how lefties obsessed with social engineering are putting our national security at risk to allow women to serve in roles they have NO BUSINESS being in.

  16. LOL Being in the field and being cut off from civilization it is funny how you learn about what is going on in the outside world. I was always friends with the RTO's so I would always get tid bits of info from them. That was how I learned about the death of Brandon Lee. I refused to believe it until we got in from the field and I saw it on the news for myself.

  18. I had a guy in my squad that was 6'11 340 pounds, during field ops the OC's always made him a casualty because they wanted to see how we would carry him. I used to mess with him and whisper to him that if this was real combat I would put a round behind his ear, he would never see it coming. I could not have him slowing down the squad. He would get so mad and yell at me, you better kill me with that first shot!

  19. If you can't complete a 5k run in 40 minutes, you have no business being in the army. In Air Assault school you had 2 hours to do a 12 mile march with all that same equipment and a 60 pound ruck! Through that same area no doubt because Air Assault School for the 25th ID was less than 100 feet from those buildings.

  23. LOL Jungle School, or just another day in the Army for those of us in the 25th ID. Training in East Rain, sucks. The Kahuku's is better climate wise but far more brutal terrain wise. Just when you think it couldn't get any worse, it is off to the Big Island to train in the lava fields of PTA.

  24. The female with the malfunctioning SAW, calling it 50/50 is UNACCEPTABLE!!!!! The truth is the weapon malfunctioning is 100% ON HER, she does not know how to maintain her weapon properly. I was a SAW gunner for 16 months and is was incredibly RARE to have a malfunction. I NEVER had multiple malfunctions one right after the other, she is INCOMPETENT. DEI at work!!!!!!!!
