  1. The sub had made two previous dives to Titanic, but I am willing to bet that the immense pressures put on the hull weakened the carbon fiber hull, enough to cause it to fail on its last dive.

  2. What I want to know is are there no regulations that would have required a home built submarine to be inspected and obtain some sort of certification in order to act as a commercial submarine?
