At 19 you are NOT a kid, you are a MAN! 19 year old men were flying bombing missions and storming the beaches in WW2. As a society we have become so WEAK when it comes to our children, infantilizing them, coddling them, parents more interested in being their child's friend than their parents. It is why kids today fall apart so easily and go on shooting sprees, they have no ability to deal with adversity.
