  5.  @asg7448  I was in the US Army Infantry. When I went to the NCO academy there was a female soldier there from Military Intelligence and she was a STUD. In the PT test she did 96 push ups and 98 sit ups and ran the two mile run in just over 10 minutes. She beat me soundly in all three categories so she must be fit and capable right? Well she was 5'6 about 120 pounds, when we went to the field and she had to carry about 70 pounds of equipment through some really rough terrain in Hawaii she REALLY struggled, lagging behind and could only go at a slaw pace where I was 6'0 170 pounds with 5% body fat. A 70 pound load was incredibly light for me, I could hump that all day and barely break a sweat. In my unit I was used to a LIGHT load of 120 pounds and a heavy load of 160-170 pounds. So while she was fit and more capable than any guy in the PT test she couldn't hack it in the field at all. Simple biology.

  6.  @technicaldifficulties368  When I was in the Army I served in the Infantry. I was 6 feet tall 170 pounds. I served with a guy who was 6'11 320 pounds and I fireman carried him 800 yards. I was an average guy, If I could do it, a 240 pound guy shouldn't be a problem.

  9. Size isn't the only factor but it is a factor. If you take two people of similar skill in combat sports and put them in the ring the larger guy is generally going to win. There is a REASON why there are weight classes. I was an amateur fighter in the military from 87-95. I fought at 170 and had what they call live hands. Because of this I was almost always training with guys who were 185 or above. The guys at 170 had a level of power that I was used to but the first time I sparred with a guy at 185 it was immediately noticeable. Average guys at 185 hit like guys with live hands at 170, guys over 200 pounds, their jabs felt like power shots from guys at 170. The inverse was also true, I sparred with guys at 154 and their power was noticeably lighter than the average guy at 170. I would walk through their punches and once I got them up against the ropes or trapped in the corner I could work them over pretty easily and their wasn't much they could do about it. Bruce Lee at 140 pounds would have been HELPLESS against me boxing, his only chance would be to get on his bike and constantly be running around the ring landing a punch or two and running because the moment I landed a clean shot he would be sleeping.

  13. No because if you read any medical journals female athletes suffer broken bones, cartilage and ligament injuries at TWICE the rate as male athletes. Why should the military spend hundreds of thousands of dollars training a soldier that will NEVER be as durable as her male counterparts?

  16.  @1369Stiles  I will tell you why size outside of the ring matters. I served in a Light Infantry unit the 3rd Btn 22nd Infantry Schofield Barracks HI. I was 6 feet tall and 170 pounds with 5% body fat. When I went to the NCO academy there was a female soldier there who was a STUD. In the PT test she did 96 push ups I did 86. She did 98 sit ups, I did 83. She ran the two mile run in 10:23 I did it in 11:10. In every standard she was superior to me so do you think she could serve in the infantry like me? She could not, she was 5'6 120 pounds. When we went to the field we carried super light ruck sacks 40 pounds. Add in your LBE, water, Kevlar, and weapon it was a total of about 60 pounds of gear. As a basic rifleman she could keep up on patrol. However when it was her turn to carry the M-60 Machine gun or the Radio she STRUGGLED BIG TIME. She could not keep up, had to take frequent rest breaks. She was a liability where at 60 pounds that was about half the lightest load I ever took to the field. SIZE and muscle mass MATTERS in the field. Anyone can pull a trigger not everyone can do all the other stuff required to serve in these units.

In my class at the NCO academy I was the only Infantry guy so I was in charge in the field. I treated the three female soldiers in my platoon as soldiers, not females and the other men were throwing hissy fits because I wasn't giving them special treatment. Specifically I had a female soldier get bit in the face by a centipede, in Hawaii they have huge centipedes and it hurts like a SOB when you get bit. It happens all the time in the infantry and you suck it up and drive on. When she got bit, she went into hysterics. I stopped the platoon and put everyone out on security while I assed the situation. The guys were leaving their positions and coming over to make sure she was alright, I practically had to kick them in the ass to get them to go back out and pull security. She was really pretty and she flirted a lot with the guys in the platoon so this was to be expected. We had a mission to accomplish so I treated her like any other soldier and made her get on her feet and move out. When she tried to beg off claiming she couldn't see, which I know she could. I made her hold onto the back of my LBE and let me guide her through the bush. It was a fiasco and all the men were so mad at me saying I can't treat a girl that way. NEVER would have happened if it was a guy.

If you read the transcripts from Donald Rumsfield's speech what he was talking about was how the Pentagon had over 100 individual computer networks that didn't talk to one another and each had different accounting software and standards that make it impossible to track up to 50% of the daily transactions at the Pentagon without doing expensive and time consuming audits. He said that in an era of shrinking defense budgets a unified computer network and accounting system would better enable the DOD to manage shrinking defense budgets and better maintain the public trust. Ne never said 2.3 trillion dollars was missing. He said as of right now there is 2.3 trillion dollars that can not be ACCOUNTED for without auditing the entire DOD.......CONTEXT PEOPLE. As to Joe Rogan's claim that flight 77 impacted the part of the building that was conducting these audits, that is LITERALLY 100% MADE UP BULLSHIT to try and make the conspiracy nonsense seem stronger. Lastly if people ever bothered to do any research they would find out that a team of forensic accountants carried out audits of every department in the DOD and managed to account for over 98% of the money. Their bedroom was on the third floor of the townhouse we were living in, so they were upstairs watching TV in bed and I slithered up the stairs on my belly like a snake. I HATED working with heavyweights because they could just walk through shits that would have kept a 170 pound guy at bay. I would be exhausted fighting those guys after three rounds.
