  3. The problem with that sentiment is that the original towers were a money pit. They had trouble finding tenants and were losing money every year. Rebuilding them exactly like they were would have just continued the original problems with the site.

  5. Actually it did not. It is HILARIOUS how conspiratards parrot some BS they saw in a video without doing ANY research. Here are some FACTS for you. Asbestos was only used in the FIRST 40 floors of the NORTH TOWER. As information was coming out about the dangers of asbestos it was decided to discontinue its use at the 40th floor in the North Tower, the first to go up. NO asbestos was used in the south tower. So removing it from the North Tower would not have been as expensive as the 600 MILLION in lease payments he made on the site until the new WTC-7 opened up in 2008.

  6. It is not really greed though. Silverstein's lease REQUIRED him to make a 10 MILLION dollar a month payment. That is paying 120 MILLION a year for a site with ZERO income coming in. His lease also made him financially responsible to repair or replace buildings damaged in a terrorist attack. He was on the hook for BILLIONS of dollars. The 4.3 billion he got as an insurance payout didn't even cover the cost of the construction of WTC 1.

It was more economical for Ford to release a deadly product so that is what they did knowing full well people were going to die.
