  3. They are taking it down because it is the only radio telescope on earth that can detect a massive alien spacecraft headed towards earth. The Government is shutting it down to cover it up.

  4. For the life of me I can't understand why an external inspection wasn't undertaken in orbit. If they didn't have an EV suit why not dock with the ISS and check out the shuttle from there. The sheer amount of recklessness involved at NASA, someone should have gone to prison for negligence.
