  4.  @ManLikeEddy  , well, can YOU personally read Putin's mind? What "he" wants or not? All we know is that NO big power will tolerate potential enemies at the doorstep. That is real life. Change Russia to US and Ukraina to Mexico. WHAT would have happened? Correctly: not only the same but quicker and more brutal; the US will surely find some "chemical weapons" possibility.

It was known (rumoured) before and it was confirmed by President Putin in his speech 21.02.2022 that he actually DID ask POTUS at the beginning of the 2000s if the Russian Federation could be accepted into NATO. And did not get any answer. Remember (if u'd ever known): NATO was made against the Warsaw Treaty. WHEN the last one was dissolved 01.07.1991 NATO should have been dissolved as well. Instead of THAT, they moved closer to the borders of Russia. And NOW when Russia is stronger again, though not as strong as the USSR once was, the US, who wants to be the only ruler of the world, tried to move even closer, using the HUGE border of Ukrain. Living in the EU the only paranoia I can see is against Russia.
