  4. Do our so-called leaders know history or even geography? If the EU and Nato would stop meddling in Russia's backyard they might be in a position to get Putin to stop trying to Russify Ukraine, particularly if the West was not dependent on Russia for energy. That way the situation could be calm. Right now they're more or less provoking him into strongarm tactics and on the other hand offering him no way to back down.
