  1. It's foolish to believe Putin is a fool or that he is failing. He did not invade like the Americans do using all out Shock and Awe tactics, which he easily could have, because he wanted to keep Ukraine infrastructure intact and even repair relations with the people afterwards, unlikely as that sounds to us. However if it's not working out that way he will step up the destruction in order to achieve victory. He cannot afford to lose. If this level of destruction doesn't solve it he will ratchet it up and up till it does. Even so his warning about using nuclear battlefield weapons is just that: a warning to NATO to keep out of Ukraine.
