  3. Marx and Engels expected England to produce a spontaneous uprising of the workers, because it was the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution which should have, according to their theory, caused alienation of the proletariat and Revolution. When that didn't happen (the English didn't get the memo!) the Communist project was stymied. Until Lenin decided the "workers" needed a Vanguard of the Proletariat to push them to do what they "ought" to do spontaneously. That vanguard would be the Bolshevik (Communist) intellectuals led by Lenin himself. Driven by plain old anti Tsarist hatred, Lenin chose Russia for the revolution even though it was almost entirely peasant/farming stock and its proletariat - which was meant to drive the revolution - was minuscule. This was a deviation from Marxist theory (which itself had already failed to work) later called Marxism-Leninism. Lenin used the Great War to push his rebellion/Revolution. Hidden from the Tsar by Germany he was then cleverly unleashed on Germany's Russian foe to cause mutiny in the ranks and end Russia's participation in the War. This he achieved; the Tsar and the Royal Family were murdered, leaving a power vacuum at the very top. Lenin would fill the gap. Because Lenin's rebellion/Revolution was not spontaneous he had to use coercion from the start. This practice continued under Stalin who had the uncomfortable job of running 'Socialism in One Country" in another deviation from Marxist theory, which is Internationalist or it's nothing.. ("Workers of the world.." etc etc). He got around that by trying to "export socialism" country by country with varying success. Since the defeat of Soviet Russia we see a further deviation from Marxist theory, this time from economic revolution to cultural revolution (Progressivism or 'Woke"). A different method with the same objective: the enforcement of Global Commununism. And so it goes on.
