  1. A brave book but it shouldn't have to be. The anti empire attacks are another aspect of the Woke (critical social justice) war against the West in which many of our own people, especially the left-educated generations, eagerly participate. Unless we take off our blinders and see the elephant as a whole we cannot defeat it. Marx told them to "ruthlessly criticize all that exists" to achieve cultural revolution. They're doing exactly that. 🇬🇧

  2. Excellent interview with a brave cultural warrior. However it's hard to be as hopeful as he is while academics are leftwing ideologues and our youth are being trained in neo marxism. Young people won't read his book and their teachers will not direct them to do so. The problem of the generation gap remains.

  3. The British Empire was farflung ("the sun never set")  because it was driven by trade, exploration and defence against other European nations, not conquest primarily. To see an empire driven by conquest look at a map of Islamic countries (Dar al-Islam). They're all next door to each other, echoing the warlord Muhammad's edict: "Kill those nearest to you." 🇬🇧
