Why always mock lesbians? Many of us are working class. Many of us are white. Not all of us are leftists though we know the right mock us without a second thought.

I understand the point that money and time should not be spent on worthless projects but the implication is that anything to do with lesbians is remote from real life and therefore worthless. I've heard this casual slur over and over since I left the Left from such as Douglas Murray, David Starkey and the new leader of UKIP. It always gets a hearty laugh from the audience, who never assume a real live lesbian is listening too.

@rogertaylor6386 That was rather a long time ago - 1968. Despite the insane tract she wrote she shot Warhol over copyright not cos he was a man. Few lesbians today will know who she is/was. She certainly is no role model.
