Facade is above all an opportunist. Three things about him that need answering as to where his allegiances might lie. One is Sterner (on video) crossing the floor of the House to grasp his arm and exchange sweet nothings. What was that about? Because they both hate Tories and not each other or what? Another is his cosy chats with the Libdems, presumably about PR? And thirdly his declaration, in cahoots with his Muslim chairman, that he is "courting the Muslim vote"? Has he got all the ex-Tories he's going to get (100000!?) and needs to fish in other waters? Are his Rightwing devotees so bedazzled they'll follow him down this road too? Nigel is nothing if not Ambitious. He intends to be PM. Which party he leads would be secondary, a vehicle he can make or break as he has often done before. Watch this space. And above all listen to what Nigel says: he broadcasts his every thought almost before he has it.
