  1. It's foolish to say Englishness is nothing to do with race and ethnicity. I have 80% English DNA .. Kentish to be precise, coming largely from my mother's family who were born, lived and died in north Kent over centuries. Perhaps I am (largely) native English and David Lammy is African or Caribbean English?

  2. Last St George's Day I posted on social media good wishes to "English patriots". A black friend of mine (as English as David Lammy!) - who I have known for many years - accused me, without a trace of humour, of wearing a "white cloak and a pointy hat". This absurd reference to American history (KKK, slavery etc) demonstrates how US conflicts have poisoned our culture. BLMadness was imported! It has nothing to do with us yet our woke middle classes boast of using it as a yardstick when running our key institutions. Socialism.itself is not an English thing. Let's bin these destructive foreign dogmas and get back to real Englishness: fair play, honour and respect for self and others.
