Considering how close the election was, the government will likely be worried about the next election in 3 years if things get worse in Poland but for the time being, not much really changes.
The good news is that Poland should consider it's self lucky it's in the EU because if they were not an EU member, the clear signs of dictatorship would likely take over Poland with the way things are going, ironically, it wouldn't be that different from when the Soviet Union had them, as it is, the EU and it's members will only allow the Polish government to go so far before putting it's foot down and that is what the government in Poland really worries about because they suspect the people of Poland will turn on the government if the EU takes a more hard line on them.
But I don't think it will come to that, Poland is new to all this democracy thing just like a lot of the eastern European countries and it was never going to be easy to adapt to that as that takes time, still they've made a lot of progress already even thought they are stumbling at the moment but that just likely means the other eastern members will likely do better in the long run, especially on the economic front and that's what the people really care about.
