Considering the time frame then yeah, Germany have done quite well in such a short space of time, and it's not easy to integrate two different systems of ideologies together, from the people, politics and the economy, but progress is being made. The UK and Italy have had a lot longer to heal the divide and in the case of Italy, they've had issues with many factors like the mafia that's not made it easy to develop the south, whereas the UK north, especially north of England, that's more politics in that the government doesn't care about the north, for them, it's all about the south and especially London and probably why there's been a growing moving in Scotland for independence.
