I always thought that what Sweden was doing was a high risk game, it could have worked if herd immunity happen but it was still playing with peoples lives when the risk was high, Europeans overall did a better job but even they did mistake in not clamping down hard on the virus and lockdown like Asian countries did and overall, western countries have not handled this that well, some better than others but looking at the record of Asian countries, it's clear we're doing something wrong but to be fair, many Asian countries had more experience on this kind of thing.
