Will Turkey join the EU? Maybe someday but it looks a long way off and with its current leader, it's been backsliding on that and even before that, Turkey was making very slow progress in joining. Also, I think until some reforms are done in the EU, I can't see many other countries if any at all joining the EU because reforms are needed on veto and majority voting, the more members in the union, the more unworkable it will become under the current rules, Poland and Hungary are proving that. So yeah, I think the EU shouldn't let any new members into the union until there is treaty change so it can work better, which is basically aimed at Poland and Hungary which have been backsliding.the last few years and why Macron is right to want to pause things until major reforms are done.
