I don't think there is any risk to the Schengen area but reforms are needed with more common rules over the external boarders with more beefy rules which is more or less the impression I get that Macron wants. Basically, the problem seems to be each country doing it's own thing where really we could do with an EU external boarder control for this. This video does come across as a bit misleading as what they want to do is change the rules and beef them up, not scrap free movement among its members but the video makes it seems like it's at risk of being scraped which I see little to no real evidence of that.
