This is why a United States of Europe is needed, could you imagine Turkey doing any of this is the EU was a full on political and economic country? It would be like Turkey doing oil drilling in Alaska lol. As it is with how the EU is designed, it's got limited powers when it comes to political matters and this leaves the problem mostly on Greece unless other EU members want to help but that's always hit or miss, it's also another reason why a federal EU would be a good idea to protect both political and economic union.

@popelgruner595 That's true but let's see how well that works in practice, I suspect it won't work very well. İstila-i Tatar, as for the EU and a unified military, this isn't about the numbers game, it's not about resolve or how many troops or tanks you have, that means very little in today's world, it's all about the economy and the technology and the EU countries have that, in other words, if Russia or anyone else became a threat to the EU, the EU countries could throw a lot of money and minds at the problem, Turkey wouldn't stand a chance, nor would Russia for that matter but the problem is in today's world, a hot war isn't likely to happen because of the damage it can do on both side, hence why modern countries don't go to war with each other any more, they only do with countries that can't fight back.
