As long as the western countries, so the EU, US and NATO continue to support Ukraine with military arms and other resources they need, I can't see Ukraine losing this war, they can continue to cause a lot of problems for the Russians and because Russia is the invader, it's a lot harder to maintain a country that's been invaded, so the cost for Russia is massive, all that's needed is the west to continue their support and it's only a matter of time before Russia gets kicked out of Ukraine and the real question is, how much political, economic damage is Russia willing to take as well as lift loss.
But in any case, the longer the war drags on, the worse it gets for Russia, because it's money reserves are running out, European countries will continue to actively move away from Russian oil and gas, Putin could have real problems late next year as the money reserves runs out and revenue from oil and gas continues to fall, it will very likely be much harder for Putin to keep the Russian people at bay and much harder for Putin to fund the war machine, especially because once the EU moves away from Russian oil and gas enough, there's a fair chance that both the EU and US will put a lot more pressure on countries that are buying cheap oil and gas from Russia, the name of the game is total isolation for Russia until they learn their lesson.

In hindsight, I bet Putin wished he never invaded Ukraine, he had it easy before that, in was in power for lift, had high support among the Russians and looked like a man that didn't do many mistakes, now with Putin invading Ukraine, all his reputation is being wiped out, the Russian military looks a lot weaker than most in the west expected, Putin has been getting one thing wrong after another, from the oil and gas issues with the EU countries, to the military tactics in Ukraine, to the resolve of the west, what a way to wipe out 20 years worth of reputation building in just a year.
In any case, the longer the war drags on, the worse for Putin, because this is a massive economic drain on their economy, sooner or later, that going to have a big impact on the Russian people in a negative way, the government can only suppress that problem to a degree that it wouldn't surprise me if Putin loses his grip on power over the next year or two and probably will be killed off by either the inner circle of government or the Russian people, especially as the reserves run dry and the Europeans stop buying Russian oil and gas, that's when it's really going to impact Russia hard, it's very likely what Putin fears the most and going on western estimates, we're going onto mid to late next year for those reserves to run dry but this was said just before the war started, so it could be sooner than that if the cost of the war and Europeans not buying their oil and gas is really biting.
