To be fair, the US is the one that wanted to be the world police, complaining about it is laughable. Besides, it's looking like EU countries are assisting and others are planning to do so.

@Dave05J It's not that simple, the world is interconnected when it comes to trade, it's in the US interest to help stabilise the region for its own interest as well as the global economy. Besides, it's looking like EU countries are planning on sending military ships to patrol the region. In any case, stop being so short-sighted, if shipping lanes in such an important region isn't stabilised, it would help to destabilise the world economy, which doesn't help any of us, including the US. In any case, an international force is needed in the region to stabilise it and protect the trade route.
