Unless there is government intervention, I'm not sure food prices will come down much and if they do, it will likely be slow, companies are quick to push prices up and slow to push them back down when they can. Still, I suspect there will be a lot of pressure from consumers for government intervention if companies don't reduce prices when they can as governments will want to get the economy moving again so the voters don't stab them in the back, especially if there are any elections in the near future in any of the given countries.
