@OnlySlightyRadioactive Needs to be done at the top and not just saying it, but policy changes to repair a lot of our relationship with the EU, otherwise, I think the UK is going to continue to chase a fantasy that doesn't exist, which is going to hurt living standards, destabilize the political and economic environment of the UK. Personally, I don't think the penny has dropped on the British people or our political parties that I think things are just going to get worse.

Austerity isn't a bad thing in moderation, the problem is, the Tories did it for too long which did a lot of damage and I suspect that played a big part in leading the UK to Brexit, which did a lot more damage and the sad thing is, I think it needs to continue until the penny drops that even Brexiteers have no excuses left, after all, as long as they keep chasing this fantasy on Brexit, the UK is likely going to continue to sink, so maybe harsher living standards might wake them up, but that's likely many years of pain down the road.

Directly or indirectly, Brexit is to blame for the mess the UK got it's self into, because Brexit allowed the loons to take over the Tory party and that is where the real problem is, they can keep changing leaders all they want, it's not going to fix the problem because the ERG in the party is pulling the strings. I mean seriously, we've had like 3 or 4 leaders during Brexit and yet they keep lurching from one mess after another. There is only one solution, kick the Tories out of power and create closer relations with the EU to limit and repair the damage done, the alternative is that we continue to sink, lurching from one mess after another, chasing a fantasy that's long gone. Why this is directly to blame on Brexit is because it destabilized the political and economic environment of the UK and all this is happening over the last 5 years where the world is turning upside down, the UK can't afford for this to continue, otherwise it's going to do real damage to living standards.
