True smart phones can never really match a PC in power because anything they can do with a smartphone, they can scale it up many folds more in a PC, it will always have that advantage but it doesn't matter, I suspect PC's will become house computers that are interconnected with more or less everything in the house in the future whereas smartphones take care of all our mobile needs which should also be able to tap into the power of the home computer over the internet, to me there not really a threat to each other but I do think both are a threat to all the ones in between like consoles, smart tvs and other things like that.
