Say what we want about the Germans but they have a knack for always bouncing back regardless of how many times they get knocked down. Today they are one of the most successful economize in the world and the biggest in Europe, it's a major player in the EU which extends their clout outwards but as power goes on an outwards projected scale, Germany can't really match the US or China but that doesn't matter thanks to EU integration which the EU is already a major economic power and could be a major political power if it's members got it's act together and integrated, something I'm sure the US and China will push the Europeans into doing as we get left behind.
