It's the Soviet Union, it really did a number on the American mind set in how they see Socialism, many of which can't seem to see the difference from how Russia was and how Europeans are. As for them attacking Denmark, it makes perfect sense, attack what you fear, Denmark system is very different from how right-wingers in the US want to see but in truth, it's a better system for the average citizen and the easy way to find that out is to live in both Europe and America for a few years and see the actual difference..
