  1. All this in the long run is just going to push more consumers to go off grid, especially as tech gets better with renewable and battery tech. But it's understandable why the existing industry wants to keep things as they are, as long as we are connected to the grid, they can always find a way to charge us. Good thing is, tech progress is going to make it harder and harder for them and governments to makes these excuses.
