In your dreams it is but in reality, the EU and it's members are getting stronger, especially with the UK leaving which have been the main ones that held it back, beside, what the EU is doing is a good thing, it's actually raising the standard on a global level which we all stand to benefit from that, also, it doesn't actually matter who does this weather it's the EU, US or China as long as it improves the standards for us all and like they pointed out, businesses will always likely go with the highest standard so that they can trade all over the world without any real problems.
