This is kinda normal, if you look at the big picture, politics usually swings from left to right, it goes something like this, the left wins, they get 1, 2 or 3 terms to deliver the goods, voters get fed up with them and then vote for the right, then the right mess-up and rinse and repeat the cycle.
The UK moving to the left is mostly to do with the right being in power for so long and through a period of time that's not been that great, Covid, Brexit and now the war in Ukraine.
We see this seesaw effect in the UK every 2 or 3 elections, we see the same in the US every 1 or 2 elections, and we see much of the same to a degree in Europe as well, but ultimately, regardless of who is voted into power, not really much is going to change because of the political realities of what they can and can't do, lots of promises will be made, many of which will be broken, but if they got your vote, it's a job well done, the Tories doing the usually, lower taxes, higher spending, they are like a broken record on that one that I'm surprised people fall for it lol.
Anyway, like in the UK where we got burnt with Brexit and all the lies, maybe the same thing needs to happen in some European countries, especially France, after all, a dose of reality is always the best wakeup call for angry voters.
