@michaelfitzgerald651 It's one thing being trained by NATO, it's another in how effective that would be, France on the other hand have had decades to train and perfect it's military, they also have a much stronger military and economy to back that up.
But this isn't really about France, this is about gathering support for Ukraine from allies, which France is doing a better job then others, but I do think France could do more on direct support of Ukraine.
Also, we should remember, this is likely about allies helping to free up Ukrainian troops in certain areas in the country so they can fight more effectively in other areas, after all, it's highly unlikely that Russia would want to take on an EU or NATO country directly.

All options should be on the table and I agree with France on this, and on the point where some other countries stepped in and said no to the idea, that shows weakness on the limits the countries supporting Ukraine will do to stop Russia, which for me was a mistake because Russia is testing the west to see what they can and can't get away with, hence why all options should be on the table, so I'm 100% behind France on that idea.
Seriously, western countries like to be seen as the good guys on the world stage, it's time they step things up, especially the EU and it's countries as well as the US in there support of Ukraine, if they all step things up, we could end the war sooner rather than later and it's probably important to resolve this situation sooner because of Trump in the US, which if he wins, that would play into the hands of what Putin wants, so the US really does need to step up it's game and fast, whereas the EU needs to speed up the pace of building arms so they can be more effective in helping Ukraine.
