I always wonder that, a lot of people outside of Europe confuse the EU for all of Europe, which if it keeps expending, it more or less is.

It's easy to say they'll change the laws, it's another thing to actually do it and so far the UK is more or less mirroring EU laws, even new ones. The problem is, the more the UK tries to drift away with law changes from the EU, the harder it will be to trade with them, it will also likely make the UK market less enticing to invest in because most companies want to invest EU wide with the same laws, rules and regulations in place, so the UK is more or less likely going to mirror what the EU does and try and make it seem it's not doing that, basically, the UK is more or less a vassal in everything but name.

The thing is, employees being paid more could have happened whiles in the EU, the only reason it's happening now is because the UK is finding it harder to find alternative workers to fill those jobs. The problem is with all this is that they'll pass on the cost to UK consumers whiles at the same time, it's making the UK market less appealing to invest in. The real problem with the UK with poverty, inequality and wages should have been solved by the UK government but in fact, they've been the ones that have made things much worse in the UK for the last 10 or 15 years now whiles blaming the EU for all the wrongs in the UK. The end result is that things are slowly declining in the UK, it might not seem it on the surface because it's slow but it's clear the UK is less of an enticing market from outside the country and worse off internally that it's creating real friction with Northern Ireland and Scotland. We should also remember that Brexit was always a net loss for the UK, hence why the UK government can't replace the money the EU put into the UK and have replaced the regional development fund with less money because there is less money to go around thanks to Brexit, in other words, that £350 million per week to the NHS was a lie.
