Two main points that ring so true, if you want real innovation, support smaller and medium size companies that are more likely to want to do change and not the big established companies that try to hold things back and the second point, if they are going to make real change, it has to be using materials that are abundance, in other words, as the video point out, making stuff out of dirt or more accurately, out of stuff that we have a lot off and it's cheap.
That's why I've lost interest in a lot of the so called brake through we keep hearing about with the promise of revolutionizing the world but they are using such rare materials that its so expensive that a lot of the times it stays in the lab and has little to no impact on the world, real break through are ideas that can be done cheaply enough and can get to market within 5 years of that idea, the rest are like pie in the sky that might happen someday but a lot fail, the ones that are around the corner are a lot more interesting.
