I suspect rose tinted glasses and I suspect a sizeable chunk of the ones buying vinyls now are clinging onto the good old days so are likely of the older generation of people.
So even thought Vinyl is rising now, it wont rise by much as things have moved on and I suspect most of the younger generation of people really don't care, I'm sure some do but nowhere near enough to have a real impact.
This happens with so many things throughout history, humans like to cling onto things from the past but in the end, those things fade with time as newer generations of people are born and don't have any attachment to the old days.
I'm sure the same thing will happen with petrol cars once electric and driverless cars take over, expect to see many people that are attached to the good old days of driving a car whiles polluting everywhere lol, this happened before cars ware invented and horse and cart ruled, it's nothing new, we've seen it happen countless times and it's the same for Vinyl.
So yes, even thought Vinyl is rising now, it wont go up too much as most of them are die hard fans clinging onto the past and as time goes buy, the old guard dies and the new gen of people rise that have no attachment to the old, Vinyl will never gain anything like it's glory days and nor should it, it had it's time, time to bury it as part of history and not try to live in the past.
