With the right weapons, training and inelegance from the west, Ukraine could do a lot of damage to the Russian forces in Ukraine and I heard awhile ago that things are going to ramp up a lot around November in favour of Ukraine as apparently, western countries will be in a position to deliver a lot more arms without depleting their own stock levels. Throw in that European countries are going to keep reducing buying oil and gas from Russia, it's not looking good for Putin over the long run, Putin might be profiting from high oil and gas prices but it's still hurting the Russian economy a lot, longer term, they are losing the western market as well as trust, which won't be easy to regain and western markets won't be easy to replace as there isn't really any other rich alternative for them, something China and India realizes, hence why they are taking advantage of Russia's weakness with pressuring them to sell oil and gas dirt cheap, that's probably only going to get worse for Russia as EU countries shift away from Russia and to make things worse for Russia, they are putting themselves under the thumb of China, something I doubt Putin or the Russian people want, basically, things are getting really desperate for Putin, hence his antics but he'll keep trying to put a brave face on defeat but the reality is, even if he got what he wants in Ukraine, the damage done to Russia is too high that iit wasn't worth it.
