Honestly, after being into PC gaming since the mid 90's, I'm close to giving up on it because of high prices for gpu's and memory and lack of competion in the gpu and cpu market and to me, Ryzen from AMD seems to be the only bright spot in PC gaming at the moment, Nvidia and Intel have done more or less everything they can over the last decade to slow down progress, push up prices and lock the market down and it's really doing a lot of harm to the overall PC market and at this rate, consoles are looking very enticing. I find it remarkable how anyone can think that spending £500+ for a gpu or cpu is good value for money, just 20 years ago I could get a top of the range gpu and it would only cost £200 lol, Nvidia and Intel are really taking the piss out of consumers now so it's no supprise the PC markets been in decline for so many years, they are killing it with there greed and lack of progress.

Thats what makes it worse because they have no reason to change which ends up doing more harm to the PC overall. Anyway, the only bright spark could be is Intel getting into the gpu busisness or AMD and Intel working on IGPU's together whiles really ramping up performance, that could shake things up and it's an area that Nvidia can't compete in because they don't have a x86 licence and I doubt Intel will give them one. If they get the performance up enough and keep the price low enough, IGPU's could take a major slice out of the dedecated gpu market, Nvidia wont like that.
