I somehow doubt that, high inflation usually means hell for governments. Governments usually want stability and high inflation doesn't create that, it usually creates a lot of problems for governments around the world, more so in a democracy because governments get it in the neck when the people feel any pain in the economy, so the governments more than anyone wants to resolve this issues before it spills over into people voting for fanatical parties and that's the last thing we want if history is any indicator. Either way, these things are usually short-lived, just like other energy crisis in the past and the reason for that is that people are only willing to put up with it for so long before real change kicks in, something the fossil industry can't afford to happen.
