The US is a weird country in how many Americans see the outside world, on the one hand, they have access to pretty much any information they want but on the other, it feels like Americans are as closed off like countries like China are in what's going on around the world. That's got to be the system, starting with the education system, indoctrination and ignorance. I don't expect people to know everything but we are talking basics here and it puts into question on what are they teaching Americans at school.
