I've looked at Stadia from different angles and it doesn't really make any sense except for one area that is very casual gamers that rarely play games, every other area, the service is worse than what we already have. Even the price of the games with a did the maths on if you were to buy 6 games per year over 3 years plus the monthly subscription would save you enough to buy 2 consoles or to build a PC gaming rig of around £700 and with that you have a lot more control over the games you buy, where you buy them and what you can do with them, as well as changing settings of the games if you are a PC gamer. A big selling point of Stadia was that you don't need to pay for the hardware but the reality is that gamers end up subsidizing the hardware by paying more for the games as well as monthly fees and all for what is a worse gaming experience. What makes it even worse is that if you really want to stream games to other devices, you can already do that with PC's and I think you can do that with consoles as well, in fact with AMD's drivers, it's got AMD Link which allows you to stream your games to any device you want either locally over Wi-Fi or over the internet and at least with that you have full control over the games you buy whiles having the same benefits that Stadia offers.
